Water and Work Week 2009

Okay, now that I posted the pictures, I'll post about the actual week. It was very fun, though we had to work very, very hard. Let me explain how it worked:
When you got there, you had to recite Philippians 1:27-30 and get checked in, then you were assigned a random cabin with people you don't know. After that you move into your cabin, you go to the chapel, where they talk about rules, what they expect of you and your group.
Each person was assigned to a group of about seven people. You met your group every day after breakfast and started working. MY favorite thing we worked on was shoveling gravel and sand up and down Snake Hill for three hours and forty-five minutes. And I was barefoot too. It was awesomeness.
Anyway, a normal day would go basically like this:
6:15: Wake up
6:30: Get dressed, make bed
7:00: Personal devos
7:30: Breakfast
8:00: Work
11:30: Lunch
12:00: Work
5:00: Supper
5:30: Work
7:30 or 7:45: Service
After Chapel: games and activities
10:00: Dorm devos
10:30 or 10:45: lights out

So that is pretty much how the schedule was all week. You do a lot of working but at camp work=fun. I hope you people that can come next year will. You won't regret it!!
The services were good too. They were all pertaining to the theme Together. The verses we had to memorize each day and recite at the end of the week were:
Philippians 1:27-2:8
They are good verses!! You should read em'!! Well that's all I've got to say for now. BYE!!!

Ps, the best jobs were: scrapeing paint off the hog house in the pouring down rain and getting drenched, painting the hog house and almost getting killed by people bumping your ladder which was balanced at the very edge of a large hill (Jenny!!), and finally - Rakeing reeds into piles bigger than you are on the beach while getting hip-deep in muddy, sandy, reedy, wonderfully-disgusting water! :D
